Amendments to the Rules of Racing – 5th June 2026
Please note that the following amendments to the GBGB Rules of Racing that have been published in the GBGB Calendar dated 5th June 2026 and are effective from the 5th June 2026.
- Rule 47 – To align Rule 47 with Rule 48 by providing that any subsequent trials after the initial qualifying trials may be recognised as qualifying events for this rule.
- Rule 61 – To remove the requirement for the attending Veterinary Surgeon to record the required data from a sales trial meeting on the GBGB Track Injury Database.
- Rule 142 – To add the option for the local stewards to disqualify a greyhound from taking any further part in a competition or from an elimination round of a competition if that greyhound was the cause of the no race.
- Appendix VI – To allow GRB to have the flexibility for a Stipendiary Steward to determine the outcome of a positive sample at a Local Inquiry and to remove any reference to the GBGB veterinary director.
